Thursday 5th Chilli Sowings

So for the third evening on the trot, I sowed another batch of 2 seeds each of 8 more chilli varieties.
They were: Bangalore Whippets Tale, Guntur Sannam, Teja Rare Indian, Habanero Giant White, Gelbe Kirschen, Ohnivec, Orange Jalapeno and Pasilla Bajio.

I grew the Ohnivec and Pasilla Bajio last year and was impressed with the Ohnivec both in terms of appearance and in terms of produce.
Pasilla Bajio is an old favourite of mine and I will grow a few more of these hopefully.

Red Habanero

Hotter chillies such as the Habaneros are slower to flower and fruit than the Annums.

Often find them only taking off in September & October.

The above is 2 Orange Habanero plants and they are flowering away now and have some lovely orange fruits on them..

Will probably save seed from these as they have been grown in isolation.
